On April 12, during the 8th China-CEEC (Central and Eastern European Countries) Leaders' Meeting which was co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Croatian Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, the 9th Business Forum of CEEC&China was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The Business Forum is an important part of the China - CEEC Leaders' Meeting and has become an important platform for the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides. The theme of this forum is “building a bridge of openness, innovation and partnership”. Premier Li Keqiang and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic attended the opening ceremony and delivered keynote speeches. Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan and Croatian Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Darko Horvat co-chaired the opening ceremony of the forum.
Within the framework of the Business Forum, the website of the 16+1 SME Coordination Mechanism was officially launched. Bank of China and Croatia also jointly held the 16+1 SME cross-border matchmaking meeting.
The forum saw active participation from enterprises, and more than 1,000 representatives including Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs in commerce, investment, innovation, tourism, and infrastructure and government officials attended the forum and discussed business matchmaking activities. This forum had the largest number of participants in all the Business Forums of CEEC&China up to now.
The forum was jointly organized by the Trade Development Bureau and the Croatian Chamber of Economy. Director Wu Zhengping attended the forum and delivered a speech at the plenary session.
