On December 17, the closing ceremony of the International Civil Aviation Organization “Middle and Senior Managers Training Program for Civil Aviation Administration of China” was held at the Institute of Management of Capital Airport Holding Company. Deputy Director Zhang Yi attended the closing ceremony at invitation. Other attendees were Secretary General of the ICAO Liu Fang, Director of the Department of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce Wang Shengwen, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of China International Development Cooperation Agency Tian Lin, Director of the International Department of the CAAC Liang Nan, Director of the Global Training Office of the ICAO Meshesha Belayneh and more than 40 participants.
At the ceremony, Secretary General Liu Fang spoke highly of the achievements of the program. Thapa, the student representative and also the Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Bureau of Nepal, highly praised the training results. The training helps recipient countries improve their civil aviation management capabilities and improve the standardization level, which is conducive to the development of civil aviation in recipient countries.
Deputy Director Zhang Yi said in his speech that during the implementation of the project, the ICAO members were professional, devoted, actively cooperative, and strong in executive capability, ensuring the quality and quantity of the program, which was highly praised by recipient governments, institutions and students. At the same time, the program further deepens the friendly cooperation between China and the ICAO and other developing countries. As a professional executive organization that has long participated in international development and cooperation, China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges is confident that under the leadership of the relevant departments of the Chinese government such as the Ministry of Commerce and the China International Development Cooperation Agency, in accordance with entrustment and responsibilities, we will work closely with relevant agencies including the ICAO and make South-South funding projects better, larger, and stronger.
The CAAC Middle and Senior Managers Training Program is the first program of the Chinese Government's South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund to support the ICAO. It offers 21 training sessions for 500 students from about 100 countries.
